In Secondary we encourage both personal and academic achievement, with the aim of developing internationally minded people.

Independence, interdependence and self-motivation are promoted through an inquiry-based curriculum. We provide a learning environment that is supportive and productive. Students are challenged and supported to develop deep levels of thinking and apply this to the world around them, connecting their learning beyond the classroom into the community. Our vertical House system and Five to Thrive Wellbeing Programme also support these aims.

To develop active learners and responsible global citizens for tomorrow’s world, students will develop the Five Power Skills:

- Collaboration
- Communication
- Creativity
- Critical thinking
- Reflection

The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers.

We provide an inquiry-based approach to learning that seeks to foster curiosity about the world. It equips our students with the capacity to research, critique and synthesise information, and demonstrate the value of collaboration in learning while encouraging independence and resilience. It urges them to produce innovative solutions to real life challenges, and teaches them to use a range of media to demonstrate knowledge in general, and skills in literacy and numeracy in particular.

Pastoral care

Pastoral care

MBBC also has a unique pastoral care programme that places great emphasis on relationships, helping our boys to understand themselves, their emotions, and their responses to the world around them.

Your son will receive an outstanding student experience that enables him to be the best he can be. He will graduate with the attitudes, attributes and skills that will provide the keys to becoming a knowledgeable, confident, caring and responsible global citizen.
